Tokyo Industries Lists 12 Venues for Sale, Majority in North East England
Bar and nightclub operator Tokyo Industries has placed a portfolio of 12 venues up for sale, Propel has learned. The company, which runs around 50 bars, clubs, and venues across the UK, along with several international locations, is reportedly working with property advisors to offer the venues either individually or as part of a group sale.
The properties on the market are primarily located in the north east of England and include notable venues such as the former Red’s True Barbecue site in Headingley, Leeds; BrewDog in Huddersfield; Neptune House in Newcastle; Impossible in York; Klute in Durham; The Constitutional Club in Lincoln; and Tower Ballroom in Hull.
Earlier this year, Tokyo Industries launched its latest venture, Iron Lilles, a late-night bar and restaurant in Hull, following an investment of approximately £2m. The business, led by founder Aaron Mellor, benefited from a £750,000 government-backed grant from Hull City Council in the summer of 2023.
With a strong presence in the UK’s nightlife scene, the sale of these venues presents an attractive opportunity for buyers looking to acquire well-known sites in prime locations.
